Study Circles Project is an all-inclusive problem-solving
initiative that provides a simple way to involve citizens of Fayetteville,
North Carolina in discussions about issues affecting their lives. These small,
peer-led discussion groups have instilled strong networks that sustain themselves
as they continue working on issues affecting the well-being of the community.
Operation Inasmuch is an interdenominational, bi-annual event
that organizes projects to aid low-income individuals and families. Over 4,000
volunteers work to repair homes and provide food, clothing and amenities for
children. MetroVisions was established to develop long-range
planning and direction for the community. Its annual report tracks and measures
the community's progress on 140 quality of life indicators. The information
gathered is used to shape community planning to benefit those areas in greatest
need.
