The U.S.D. 259 School Bond Issue was a grass-roots community plan
to address the school district's most critical building needs, e.g., relieving
over-crowded classrooms; repairing or replacing old plumbing and providing
adequate heating and cooling systems. Project Access strives to take
health care to a new level by enhancing access to health care for low-income,
uninsured members of Sedgwick County through a coordinated network of voluntary
providers. The eclipse Teen Center is a 9,000 sq. ft. facility
designed by teens for teens to provide a safe, drug-free environment for youth
in support of the idea that "involvement creates respect".
