Walton County, Florida

Vision 2020 works to identify the community's impediments to effective growth and to help retain the quality of life while improving the community's infrastructure throughout the growth process. The Chautauqua Assembly and the Florida Chautauqua are programs, which revive cultural heritage, promote greater interaction among the citizens and enhance economic opportunities for Walton County citizens. Grit and Grace, a Walton County Folk Life Production, involves the diverse communities in an oral history-based performance process that empowers individuals and groups that will promote pride in heritage; heal divisions with inclusiveness; showcase diversity; encourage free and open exchange between all people on important issues; encourage leadership from all segments of society; build pride and cooperation; and create an honest and benevolent product which will be the gift to the community and future generations.
