Marquette County, Michigan

The Medical Care Access Coalition, Inc. (MCAC) is a faith and community-based non-profit membership organization established so that "no County resident will go without needed preventive, early diagnostic or curative medical services due to financial barriers." To provide integrated access to care, MCAC resolved to create a "virtual" community health center, building from assets already in the community. The Noquemanon Trail Network Council, Inc. (NTN) develops and maintains a regional, multi-use year round non-motorized land and water trail network and greenway system for the region. Project WEAVE (Willingness to Explore Alternatives That Validate and Embrace Youth) is designed to improve substance abuse treatment for juvenile justice youth by: designing a collaborative, coordinated, "systems of care"; building on the strengths of families and youth; and engaging local residents and leaders.
