The Paleo Project is collaboration among Fossil residents, city officials and state and federal agencies to promote the world significant fossil and geologic resources found in Fossil for increased tourism that will help build an improved economy. Fossil Community Action is a partnership of city officials, volunteer members from all segments of society, and downtown business owners to make improvements to Fossil to attract new businesses and new residents and to become more attractive. The Fossil School District Collaboration offers a competitive education to students in Fossil, despite a rural location and having less than 100 students in all 12 grades of the Fossil School District. Through the collaborative efforts, the district offers intensive arts and communications programs and an urban education experience.
