In a last hoorah for their efforts in the All America City competition, officials at the Huntington Chamber of Commerce threw a thank-you Party earlier this week and invited all of the team's most memorable - and remembered - players.

In attendance at the Huntington Town House celebration were the big wigs and the Town supervisor Frank Petronelittle wigs, providing a perfect setting for just what it takes to make a town special - every wig around. And by the end of it all, the party didn't mark the culmination of this year's events, but rather the beginning of a whole new attempt at what everyone in the room already knew they were - part of a true All America city, no doubt about it.

"Yes, we're coming back," said team leader Ken Christensen. "Because we know we are an All America city."

Chamber Chairman Jim AsheAfter handing out proclamations to the Huntington Enrichment Center, the Dolan Health Center and the Tri-CYA, town supervisor Frank Petrone offered the Chamber a proclamation of its own, repeating the words that had become a motto for the team. "We're all Huntington residents. Hand in hand, heart to heart, caring and sharing for each other," he said. "And that's our story."
